Your hormones are changing. Every system in your body knows it.

Perimenopause is not just about hot flashes. It is a fundamental biological transition that affects your brain, your heart, your bones, your metabolism, your mood, your sleep, and your sense of self. Estrogen receptors exist throughout your body in virtually every organ and tissue system. When estrogen levels begin their irregular, decades-long decline, the effects are felt everywhere.
‍
Most women enter this transition without adequate support. Their OB/GYN runs a single FSH test, tells them their symptoms are “normal,” and hands them an antidepressant or a sleeping pill. Their primary care provider isn’t trained in hormonal medicine. And by the time they find someone who truly understands what’s happening, they’ve spent years suffering unnecessarily.

At Cornerstone, we approach perimenopause and menopause the way this transition deserves to be approached: with a comprehensive hormonal workup, a full Functional Medicine assessment, and a personalized, integrated care plan that addresses not just your symptoms but every biological system the transition affects.

We treat the whole woman.

The Cornerstone difference

What makes Cornerstone different from your current OB/GYN or hormone clinic

We treat the whole woman, not just her hormones

Hormonal transition doesn’t happen in isolation. At Cornerstone, your care integrates hormonal optimization with metabolic health, cardiovascular risk, brain health, bone density, nutritional strategy, and therapeutic exercise because all of these systems are affected, and all of them matter. We also  incorporate stress resilience strategies into your care plan, recognizing that a woman’s lived experience is inseparable from her hormonal health.

Symptoms, labs, and a full Functional Medicine workup

We conduct a comprehensive hormonal assessment estrogen, progesterone, testosterone, DHEA, cortisol, thyroid, and more, at Functional reference ranges that reflect optimal health, not just the absence of disease. This is paired with a full Functional Medicine workup that identifies the root causes driving your specific symptom picture.

Fully integrated with our Longevity Science and Functional Medicine programs

For many women, hormonal transition is also the moment longevity becomes personal. At Cornerstone, your perimenopause and menopause care is fully integrated with our Longevity Science and Functional Medicine programs, meaning your hormonal health is managed as part of a comprehensive strategy for your long-term healthspan.
Treatment pillars

Your personal formula for relief and optimization

Every woman’s hormonal transition is unique. Your symptoms, your lab results, your health history, and your goals all shape your care plan. At Cornerstone, we draw from the full spectrum of evidence-based tools to build a protocol that works for your body and your life.

Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy (BHRT)

BHRT is the foundation of hormonal transition management for most of our patients and at Cornerstone, it is practiced with a precision that most providers cannot match. We prescribe bioidentical hormones, chemically identical to those your body produces naturally, in the form that is right for you. Every prescription is grounded in your comprehensive lab work and your symptom picture, and monitored closely as your needs evolve.

Peptide Therapies

Selected peptide therapies play a powerful supporting role in hormonal optimization, addressing the cellular repair, immune function, metabolic performance, and neurological health dimensions of hormonal transition that BHRT alone does not reach.

Nutraceutical Protocols

Pharmaceutical-grade nutraceuticals, precisely selected based on your lab findings, support hormonal balance, bone health, cardiovascular protection, cognitive function, and metabolic optimization. This is not a generic supplement recommendation. This is clinical-grade nutritional support matched to your biology.

Nutritional Therapy

Your Nutrition Therapist builds a personalized metabolic nutrition plan in direct response to your hormonal labs, your metabolic markers, and your symptoms, supporting your hormonal careplan from the inside out.

Therapeutic Exercise Programming

Muscle mass, bone density, cardiovascular fitness, and metabolic function are all profoundly affected by hormonal transition and all are addressable through precisely prescribed therapeutic exercise. Our Exercise Physiologist designs a program specific to your physiology, your fitness baseline, and your longevity goals, with a particular emphasis on strength training, muscle preservation, and protein optimization.  Progress is tracked using WHOOP and InBody bioimpedance body composition analysis, giving us objective data and valuable health markers to compare to each visit.

GLP-1 Integration Where Indicated

Hormonal transition-related weight gain and metabolic dysfunction are among the most frustrating and clinically complex aspects of perimenopause and menopause. For patients where BHRT and lifestyle optimization alone are insufficient, we integrate GLP-1 therapy, as part of a comprehensive metabolic care plan. GLP-1 is never prescribed as a standalone solution. It is always integrated alongside hormonal optimization, nutritional therapy, and therapeutic exercise to deliver sustainable, whole-body metabolic results.

WHOOP Wearable Technology Integration

Cornerstone integrates WHOOP wearable technology into your hormonal care, providing continuous, real-world data on your sleep quality, recovery, heart rate variability, and strain between clinical visits. For women in hormonal transition, sleep disruption and recovery impairment are among the most impactful symptoms. WHOOP gives your care team objective data to track your response to treatment and make timely, informed adjustments to your protocol.

IV Nutrient Infusions

IV therapy supports your hormonal care plan at the cellular level, delivering glutathione, Myers Cocktail, and other custom nutrient protocols that support energy production, cellular detoxification, immune resilience, and the mitochondrial function that hormonal decline compromises.

Stress Resilience & Trauma-Informed Care

At Cornerstone, we recognize that hormonal health does not exist in isolation from a woman’s lived experience. Stress resilience strategies including nervous system regulation, sleep optimization, and targeted nutraceutical support for cortisol and adrenal health — are integrated into your care plan where indicated. Additionally, Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) have well-documented effects on hormonal regulation, immune function, metabolic health, and stress response, all of which are amplified during the vulnerability of hormonal transition. We screen for ACE scores as part of our comprehensive intake and use this information to inform a trauma-aware, compassionate care approach.
WHAT BRINGS OUR PATIENTS TO US

We listen skillfully. And we know how to help.

Every woman’s experience of hormonal transition is unique. We listen carefully, respond with empathy, and bring the full depth of our clinical expertise to wherever you are in your journey.

Hot flashes & night sweats

Relief is possible and it doesn’t have to take months to find.
‍

Sleep disturbances

Sleep is not a luxury. It’s a biological necessity. We restore it.

Brain fog & cognitive changes

Your brain hasn’t stopped working. Your hormones have stopped supporting it. We fix that.

Mood changes & anxiety

Hormonal mood changes are not a mental health failure. They are a biological reality and a treatable one.

Weight gain & metabolic changes

Hormonal weight gain is not a willpower problem. It’s a metabolic one. We address it at the root.

Low libido & sexual health

Sexual health is health. We address it with the same clinical depth and compassion as every other symptom.

Bone health & osteoporosis prevention

Estrogen loss accelerates bone loss. Proactive bone health strategy begins at perimenopause not after a fracture.

Cardiovascular risk changes

Estrogen is cardioprotective. Its decline changes your cardiovascular risk profile. We assess it, monitor it, and address it proactively.
Stages we treat

We meet you wherever you are in your transition

Hormonal transition is not a single event. It is a years-long journey with distinct stages, each with its own clinical picture and management needs. Cornerstone provides expert care at every stage.
Perimenopause

The years leading up to your last period often beginning in your late 30s or 40s when estrogen levels begin their irregular decline. Symptoms can be subtle or dramatic, and are often dismissed or misattributed. We recognize the signs early and intervene proactively.

Menopause

Defined as 12 consecutive months without a menstrual period. This is the transition point, and for many women, the moment symptoms intensify. We manage this stage with precision, adjusting your care plan as your hormonal picture evolves.

Post-Menopause

The years following menopause bring their own clinical considerations: bone health, cardiovascular risk, cognitive longevity, and the ongoing management of hormonal balance. Our care continues to evolve with you.

Surgical Menopause

For women who experience menopause as the result of surgery, the hormonal transition is immediate and often more intense. At Cornerstone, we are experienced in managing surgical menopause with the urgency, depth, and compassion it requires.

Frequently asked questions

Still have questions? Click below to schedule a complimentary consultation.
Q: Is BHRT safe?

A: The safety of Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy is well-supported by a substantial and growing body of evidence. At Cornerstone, every BHRT prescription is grounded in your comprehensive labwork, your symptom picture, and your personal health history and monitored closely over time. We take an individualized, evidence-based approach and make sure you have all the information you need to make an informed decision.

Q: How is BHRT different from synthetic hormones?

A: Bioidentical hormones have the same chemical and molecular structure as the hormones your body produces naturally. At Cornerstone, we prescribe FDA-approved bioidentical preparations, in the form that is right for you, rather than synthetic hormone formulations that differ structurally from your body’s own hormones.

Q: What forms of BHRT do you prescribe?

A: We prescribe BHRT in the form that best matches your clinical picture, your lifestyle, and your preferences. Your Cornerstone provider will discuss every option with you and help you choose the approach that is right for your body.

Q: Do you treat surgical menopause?

A: Yes, and we have specific experience managing the unique clinical picture of surgical menopause, which often requires more immediate and intensive hormonal intervention than natural menopause. If you have undergone a hysterectomy with oophorectomy, we understand the urgency and are equipped to support you comprehensively.

Q: How long does it take to feel results from BHRT?

A: Most patients begin to notice meaningful improvements in symptoms within 4 to 8 weeks of starting their BHRT protocol. Full optimization often takes 3 to 6 months as we fine-tune your dosing based on your follow-up labs and symptom response. We stay closely engaged throughout this process.

Q: Can I access this care if I have Medicare or TriCare?

A: Yes, Cornerstone accepts Medicare, Medicare Advantage, and TriCare. Office visits and standard hormonal labs are billable to your insurance with your standard cost-share applying. Please contact our team to verify your specific coverage before scheduling.

Q: Do I need to stop my current hormone therapy to start at Cornerstone?

A: Not necessarily. We will conduct a comprehensive review of your current protocol and lab work at your first visit and make recommendations based on what we find. Many patients transition smoothly from their current therapy to a more optimized Cornerstone protocol.
